Rene’ Boer
Certified EOS Implementer
I began my business journey working my way through college as a full-time employee at Pizza Hut. After graduating I helped grow a Minneapolis-based franchise into a company that had a successful IPO as A&M Foods in the mid 1980s. I later became a Region Vice President at Pizza Hut, Inc where I helped launch a $50 million delivery business in the Washington DC area. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, I joined Jamba Juice in the mid 1990s helping to position that organization for regional growth and an IPO. I also developed a Japanese fast-casual restaurant concept and opened three locations in the San Francisco area. So, as someone who’s signed checks and met payroll, I’ve experienced first hand the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur and business owner.
In 2007 I met Gino Wickman and was impressed with the simplicity of the EOS tools and a proven system that helps organizations execute the plans that they make. I couldn’t help but think “if I would’ve known then, what I know now …” I’m passionate about implementing EOS and I’m privileged to have helped dozens of owners and leaders in the Chicagoland area get what they want from their business.
In addition to working with leadership teams, cycling has been a life-long passion of mine. Since 2010 I’ve coordinated an annual cycling event, The Sub5 Century Challenge, that has contributed over $40,000 to benefit the Paul Ruby Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Here is what some of my clients say about our working together:
“The EOS Process, has allowed our management team to grow more trusting of each other, be more efficient and navigate through tough issues quickly. It has been less than a year since we have rolled it out to all of our team members. They are enthusiastic about the changes that have been brought forth. I have entrusted this journey to the point that I am taking a two month sabbatical. Without the growth over the last 18 months of the organization, I know this decision would never have been made possible!”

“As a business owner completing our second year with EOS, the system and tools have made us more effective in dealing with issues. We had always ignored our issues and now I feel our team has greater clarity and focus and we are better prepared to rebuild our customer base. The Meeting Pulse has generated the most benefit to our organization.”

“As business owners, my partner and I became quite interested in the structured processes and concepts of the Vision/Traction Organizer outlined in Gino’s book, Traction. We spent about 50 hours in strategic planning sessions with one another and each read the book twice as we built these techniques and ideas into our business. Over the next few months we added three key people to our leadership team and felt it was best to have an implementer spend time with us to get us organized, and provide clarity and direction to our understanding and use of the V/TO. Rene’ Boer came in and with precision and detail he was able to do what had taken us 50+ hours to get our hands around in two full and intense reflection sessions. Our entire team not only understood the concepts much better, but we walked away unified and focused like never before. These days were a great return on our investment.”

“For the past six months I have been fortunate enough to have retained the services of a diligent, results-oriented professional, Rene, who has done an outstanding job for both my company, CD One Price Cleaners, and my staff. Rene has proved invaluable in helping us set and attain strategic goals by implementing a systematic, on-going plan. The EOS system has brought discipline in executing our plan. The tenets of the EOS system could be applicable to almost any small to medium-sized business, and it’s simple to utilize. My only regret is that I didn’t know him five years ago.”

On a recent return trip from Alabama where I had spent a week cycling, the instrument panel of my Subaru Outback Wagon suddenly began flashing and if the “Sub”could have talked it would have shouted “Warning! Great managers are hard to find. Great managers have a true gift and a passion for getting the most out of people. Great managers possess a unique ability that is not in everyone.
This message is a mini–passionate plea. Having worked with so many managers, I now see clearly the ones that truly want to be great managers and the ones that are doing it for other reasons (e.g., ego, advancement, having nowhere else to go).… Read More
- The Rut
When 100% of our time is given to doing the business (marketing, selling, making, fixing, shipping, accounting, etc.), we’re stuck. We’re in a rut that leads to failure.
It’s a common trap we can all fall into. We have something the market wants. Demand increases and the technical activity associated with getting and filling orders completely fills our schedules. Forty hours per week becomes fifty and then sixty.… Read More
