Since childhood, I’ve seen the highs and lows of owning a business—my family ran everything from gas stations to car dealerships. But watching my grandfather’s car dealership fail in 1979 left a lasting impact. It changed him, and that experience drives my passion for helping entrepreneurs avoid similar hardship.
After my Navy service, I quickly advanced in retail, then joined a group of companies in Birmingham in 2002. Over 15 years, I moved up to President and COO of the holding company, running six operating companies. But with one, an insurance third-party administrator, I felt stuck. Nothing worked. Then, at my wife’s suggestion, I reached out to Ken, a CPA who introduced us to EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). The transformation was immediate, and soon every company was using EOS with powerful results.
