I grew up in an entrepreneurial family where my Dad started his business when I was one. I got to see first hand the struggles of a young entrepreneur building his business and witnessed him working really hard, really long, and for what seemed like little reward. During breaks in college I worked part time and started to gain an appreciation for the business and what entrepreneurs go through to make it work. When I graduated I came to work for him and realized that we were in need of help. At age 29, after some health challenges, my dad named me CEO before I knew what the acronym stood for. I had no idea how to run a company, but through the help of a Vistage executive roundtable group, and finding a system, EOS, to run our business on, we started gaining traction and in the next few years we had doubled in size, significantly expanded our margins, and ultimately sold our business to a private equity firm at a great multiple. After spending a year working in the PE world, I decided to follow my passion for entrepreneurship and help business owners and their leaderships teams get what they want from their business by helping them implement EOS in their organizations.
