When I was in the Marine Corps I learned how to adapt and overcome, stay calm during stressful times, build high performing teams, and simplify complexity. I’ve carried these lessons throughout my career.
Upon getting out I spent a decade in the corporate world yet I always had some sort of side business going, with a mix of success and failure. It was probably some combo of entrepreneurship being in my blood and ultimately realizing I was a terrible employee.
Eventually I made the leap and went full time as an entrepreneur by starting a fintech company. I experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. EOS helped provide clarity and focus. It helped me get my life back as we scaled.
After exiting my business, I became an early employee at a nonprofit that helps veterans start and grow businesses. We used EOS to scale it across the country. While traveling around the country coaching, advising, and listening to 100s of entrepreneurs, I noticed a lot of the same patterns that I had experienced as an entrepreneur. I knew I could help so I became an EOS Implementer.
