Single dad of two young men. Passionate about: leadership development, helping teams work more smoothly, innovation/process improvement, basketball, jazz, golf, cooking and the Jersey shore (not necessarily in that order 😉 I spent time in training roles for companies in the Chicago area (Arthur Andersen, Square D Company, and Baxter Healthcare) and have come to be known for my facilitation skills with teams. I love getting the right people in the room, framing the right questions, then unleashing their creativity and best thinking around how to move their business forward. Along the way, I’ve come to adopt some beliefs about people and work:
- I don’t care who gets credit, just that we get something of value accomplished
- I like to provoke healthy debate so we get the most robust ideas to try out
- I tend to go with what works vs. a “perfect” solution
- I like to have fun with those I work with and see a real connection between “play” and innovation
- I believe people closest to the work best know how to improve it
- I don’t believe in over-engineering our interactions with others but instead, allow shared goals, connections and simple guidelines to address complexity
