At the age of 19 Simon stepped in to run and rescue one of his parents three businesses as the sole employee. Thirty five years later he’s still there, although the company has grown and the role has changed.
At some point he read the E-Myth by Michael Gerber and set about trying to systemise the business. This turned out to be easier said than done…until in the first months of 2021 he read Traction by Gino Wickman and made a pivotal decision: ATEC Security would in future be run on the Entrepreneurial Operating System.
Working with a professional implementer over two years, EOS has given the leadership team the structure and discipline to run the business with diminishing input from Simon, which led to a new discovery: Simon is really bad at doing nothing. His wife helpfully pointed this out regularly so a new purpose was needed.
Simon views EOS as a gift that has transformed his company and life, so it seemed natural to combine his experience as a business owner, and passion for EOS to become a professional EOS implementer.
Simon spends his spare time keeping fit, singing/playing guitar and hitting golf balls into the trees.
