Jodi Owczarski, President and CEO of the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce, created Community Impact Day, a day for West Michigan residents to volunteer en masse at various community locations. Since its public introduction in 2022, the event has increased from 250 participants to 984 participants in 2023 and to a goal of 1,500 participants in 2024. From blood drives to natural area cleanup, a ton of work is done to help the community thrive — all in just 24 hours.
